Job Responsibilities

• Technical knowledge about the operation of Diesel Generator, substation, power Generation & transmission, BBT System.
• Ensure proper maintenance including break down maintenance, and troubleshooting maintenance for different electrical components & Diesel Generator machines.
• Responsible to ensure electrical optimum utilization of energy.
• Electrical maintenance of different campuses of Uttara University under the supervision of the University Authority.
• Calculate the Plant Load, Load balance & demand factors, Cable/Circuit breaker/Distribution board/Transformer.
• Have to work with the Medium & High Voltage substation, power transmission & distribution equipment design, installation & commissioning & Maintenance.
• Always communicate with project In-charge, inform instantly about present situation of the Electrical system & take steps if necessary.
• Take necessary action for efficient operation by communication with Project In-charge.
• Supervise the work of junior engineer and the technicians.
• Monitor and maintain shift wise daily log sheet, check list & take necessary preventive steps.
• Proper managing of all the electrical supply systems like HT, LT, Transformers, Generators.
• Drawings/layout/estimation of temporary power and other execution of Temporary/Site electrification works.
• Dealing with the concern authority of DESCO/BRDC
• Lead, direct, evaluate and develop the maintenance team to ensure that the plant meets its established targets and standards.
• To inform Project Engineer about the Electrical requirement at any stage of work.
• To work directly under Project Director in the Uttara University Permanent Campus Construction Project so that the progress of work do not fall behind the schedule due to negligence or un-time handling of any steps in the process of electrical operation.
